Advanced Open Water Diver
Advanced Open Water Diver course is suitable for:
- beginner divers - to gain supervised experience in specific areas and improve their dive skills
- experienced divers - to further your skills and sample some specialty courses that are interesting to you before possibly doing that speciality course in full and / or to be certified to dive deeper (wrecks in many countries are deeper than 18m) and to learn about some specialties.
Once you complete this course, you will be certified to dive to a depth of 30 meters with your Dive Buddy.

Knowledge Development
You can do this part either online directly through PADI or by independent study using the Advanced Open Water manual.
The online version consists of seven of the most popular specialists areas (including the two compulsory ones).
Your Instructor will always be available to answer any questions you may have.
Adventure Dives
This is the fun part!
There are five ocean dives as part of this course.
Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation are the two compulsory dives.
You can choose from a variety of specialities including wreck, underwater photography, digital underwater photography, drift dive, night dive, search and recovery, underwater naturalist, peak performance buoyancy, Dive Against Debris, enriched air diver, for the other three dives.
Each of the Adventure Dives may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Speciality Diver Course.
